Sending pictures is as easy as sending an email. You can even email them directly to this site.
Just choose the Gallery of your choice - within minutes of sending, the images will be live on the Internet. Details are below.

How to Prepare
I am assuming that most are familiar with taking pictures with digital cameras and saving them on your computer. If not you'll probably have to get some help with this part (ask your grandchildren!).
First you need to have the old pictures saved somewhere in a digital file. Since the pictures we want are from the prehistoric days before microchips, this might seem to be a problem. However there are several solutions outlined below.
- SCAN: Scanning your old pictures is the easiest way to convert to digital. Once you have the image scanned, just follow the instructions on your scanner to save it to a digital file.
- If you don't have access to a scanner but have a good digital camera, you can take a picture of your picture . This is automatically saved in a digital file which can be sent.
- MAIL: Send the pictures to us. We can scan them and return the originals. This is the slowest way. It's one thing scanning a few pictures of one's own. Scanning a couple of hundred sent in by chaverim is a chore. But we'll do it if there's no other way.
Our goal is to get as much Visual History of our Habonim Days as we can.
How to Send
- Email direct to site: Send the digital files as "attachments". DO NOT include them in the body of the email itself.
Each Photo Galleries has its own individual address. Simply copy and paste the address you want into your email, attach the digital file and send. Your image will be "live" on the Internet within minutes.
Due to spammers the email addresses cannot be listed publicly. Request your private list by emailing me at [email protected].
Only one image at a time can be sent this way.
Once you have sent the image, send us an email outlining the "who?, what?, when?, where?" of the picture. We will add this manually. Send to [email protected] (do not use this address for attaching files or sending images)
- Email to us: Send the digital files as "attachments". DO NOT include them in the body of the email itself. Up to 5 images at a time may be sent this way.
The body of the email should include details about the image(s) - who?, what?, when?, where?. If sending more than one image at at time make sure to send details in such manner that we know to which image the caption belongs.

- Postal Mail to us: If you can't get the images converted, send them to us. Before sending contact me by email at [email protected] or phone me in Raanana at (09)743-2794 to get the address for sending.
